Is this a kit plane or ready to fly?

The first batch will be pre-built, then a kit form will be available.

I have to say I like the design too, but Frank's comment about lack of visibility is a factor, as is the meager useful load of 485 lbs, with full fuel capacity of 21 gal (sorry, 96 litros) you only have 359 left. The tricycle gear and high speeds are a draw though...

If it really lands @ gross at 36 mph and cruises at 115 mph then that kicks butt. As for the meager useful load, how many Seareys can carry 21 gals of fuel and two 180 lb people and still be legal under light sport? I doubt even most carbon hulled Seareys can. It certainly looks cleaner without the flying wires and with the coweling. So that leaves the visibility and the sliding canopy as disadvantages. The nose wheel is a disadvantage for beaching, but an advantage for many pilots wary of tailwheels. The canopy could probably be overcome. Do the wings remove easily?

An advantage for wary pilots is not an advantage. Wary pilots should not be flying. In 24 years of flying, I had never flown a tailwheel when I purchased OliverII. I am a very happy convert.
