I was there about mid-day friday and it appeared that Kerry was operating outside

the lagoon and to the left . This dock would seem to be easier to give rides.

Yes, a dock might have seemed easier (this one was a bit too high) but we found it was easier to operate repetitious demos off the beach outside the lagoon because we could not “monopolize” the 'U' dock. On August 2nd Kerry began using a great boat ramp at a restaurant site just south of the Seaplane Base. (It didn’t have the same crowd of onlookers though..)

Great to see you at OSH seaplane base! Sorry for the delay in departure - I guess they just wanted to test the bay with bigger craft - looked like you did fine anyway. Actually, on Sunday, there were two aircraft that had some damage due to rough water. Cessna 206 broke a 'flying wire' that went between the left float and the fuselage and a Super Cub broke a strut.

Thanks again for all the encouragement and help you gave me regarding getting the 912 to run steadily rather than 'stumbling' terribly.

Great to see you too Gene! All the helper volunteers were simply great!
Paul needs to be fired for misrepresentation etc. (But that's another story..)

Hey, let's nominate Gene for Seaplane Base Chairman. I'm sure he's at least as capable as Paul, and he's a whole lot nicer. And he has an 'EAA' airplane, too.

I will 2nd that! It was great fun to see you all and get to work with you.

    Don, et al,

Don't do me any favors!

I like to work there, but don't want any responsibility, especially if I would have to deal with EAA poitics.

Okay, Gene--but that's exactly why you'd be right for the job.
