I Live There!! Made more landings than I can count,always a popular stop or overflight for passengers. Mayor-for-life Daley has no limits to what he may do. He is no friend of aviation at this or the other two airports, and a long champion of allowing no GA aircraft over the city. Fully half the aircraft using this field were medical, a lot of organ transplants, to univ of Chgo, loyola etc.Other half Pols to springfield. He claims it to be a park, it is unused, surrounded by boarded-up beaches and parks. Smart money then and now says he is saving it for gambling boats.

Well that sure looks like an improvement for the downtown greenery...NOT.<br />I sure hope that the Toronto City Centre airport doesn't have the same fate. Mayor Miller sites the Meigs Field elimination as an improvement to the Chicago downtown.
