Hi Bruno:

In 1976, I was privileged to march into that remarkable stadiun as a Canadian Olympic athlete. I remember it as though it was yesterday (and will still remember it when I am 90 years old).

Best,
Larry

    Ah THE BIG OWE !!
Mayor Jean Drapeau said at the time of construction;;' The olypics are as unlikely to lose money as it is for a man to have a baby.' We taxpayers of Montreal had a special levy, which went on for twenty years, to pay off the multi million $ cost overrun.
En Quebec..c'est la vie!
They were indeed great games...in a great city.

    Hi Ken and Bruno:

I skippered the Tornado catamaran (the 'hot rod' of the Olympic sailing boats). It was an absolute joy to sail as it had double the performance of any of the other Olympic boats . There was a price to be paid,..... so much time on the water (close to 30 years) caused webs to develop between my toes. (g)

Best,
Larry
