Description: “Hey! There is a boat that has been blown out of the water by the hurricane.”

“It doesn’t look like it could float. It’s a play place.”

“You can pretend.”

“Or you can focus on getting around these rain showers to get home.”

“Well, we’re not far now. It looks like there is a gap we can get through.”

“Hey! The engine is dying.”

“Uh…it is.”

“I don’t believe it.”

“Believe it. We’re going down. Sixty seconds to impact. There’s an open field ahead. That’s where I’m going to put it.”

“We’re out of fuel.”

“No way. Look at the gage. It still shows ¼ tank. I’m turning the boost pump on.”

“It’s not helping. The engine just sputtered and quit again.”

“No kidding. Thirty seconds to impact. I’m landing. Gear is coming down.”

“Gear down? How about landing in that pond?”

“I don’t think so. It is too small and it’s perpendicular to this howling wind.”

“Oh, man. That’s no field. It’s a construction site and there is loose sand. Better raise the gear and scoot it in on the belly.”

“No way. I don’t want the gear smacking me in the back. Besides, if it is rough the gear will absorb some of the impact. Fifteen to impact.”

“Hey! Maybe we can make that pavement?”

“In this wind? I doubt it, but we’ll try because there is a clear approach path on this side. Maybe I can try the engine again.”

“No time. We’re not going to make it.”
