Description: For sale Searey kit # 1DK418C, work in progress. I would love to see this project to completion, but due to financial reasons it is not meant to be. I have approximately 200 hours working on the project to date, and have the hull primarily assembled, including the landing gear and turtledeck. When I stopped working on the project, I was just about to start putting sheetmetal on the pylon. The kit is from late 2006, “C” hull, all fiberglass, hydraulic disc brakes and 912S engine kit (including instruments). This project is being sold as a COMPLETE kit, nothing is missing for completing this project, with the exception of the engine and some flight instruments. Here is a list of everything included:
Complete kit (includes gel coated fiberglass hull, deck & turtledeck, retractable gear, 6” aluminum main wheels with 600x6” tires, 4” steerable tailwheel, dual flight controls, lexan windshield, dual sliding lexan canopies, standard interior and upholestry and seat belts with shoulder harnesses, front deck hatch, starting carb controls (choke), 18 gal plastic fuel tank, hydrualic brakes, electric trim, 4 position flaps, electric bilge pump, streamlined wing struts, fiberglass droop wingtips, full lotus sponson floats, stits covering of flight surfaces up to silver coat.
Baggage compartment kit (baggage decks already carpet covered, with secured compartment installed.
Basic instrument package for Rotax 912S (AS, AL, VV, AMM, CHT, C, F, H, OP, OT, TAC)
Rotax radiator
Rotax 912S engine mount kit
Bow lights, pair (already installed)
Choke, starting carb kit
Additional brake lever and master cylinder for hydraulic brakes
Propeller, Ivo Medium Three Blade ground adjustable
Propeller shaft nut, M8, set of six
Shoulder harness kit (set of two, already installed)
During the course of building I have bought a couple of other miscellaneous things, including a Cessna-style master switch, bow eye (installed), and other small items. All work complete to date has been extensively photographed and logged in my Builder’s Log. My Builder’s Log is very comprehensive and detailed (over 100 MB). It includes all reciepts, online correspondence and explanations of each portion of the building phase. Basically everything I ever encountered while building has been included in the log. Everything on the airframe and hull is in good shape. While building, I was been meticulous about corrosion proofing…I have gone through more than a couple cans of T9 (Boeshield). The inside of the hull is covered with Herculiner (durable, waterproof coating similar to Line-X or Rhinoliner).
I am disappointed to have to sell the dream, but circumstances dictate doing so. If the kit were to be ordered today, it would cost approximately $34,000. I am hoping to get $20,000 for it.

How much would it cost to pack it up and shipped to central Florida?
