Description: No one was at home at the Jacksboro airport. I thought about stopping in at the nearby Norris Lake marina. I didn’t have prop tape or time for exploration. The 24-hour fuel pump worked to fill the tank emptied by 2.2 flying hours.

That’s the Cumberland Plateau in the background. It was formed in the Mississippian and Pennsylvanian Ages (350 to 300 million years ago) by erosion from the Appalachian Mountains into a shallow sea on their western side. Coal seams were laid down in the swampy land between the mountains and the sea. At the rate I was going, I decided to watch for more coal being formed.

Dan, had you stayed in that area overnight, you could have seen moonbows over the falls in Cumberland State Park: http://www.2geton.net/martin/moonbow/cumberlandfalls_ky.html

Jon, what are your future plans for flying now that you sold your searey?
