Description: The mama osprey, looking very
vexed with us stupid humans
and the big red, white, yellow,
and black mechanical bird.

She and her mate are taking
care of their eggs these days.
The male seems programmed
to lead us away from the nest-
-he flies away as soon as we
head toward the pier. The
female is willing to tolerate one
or two humans up close, but
wasn't at all happy about our
tying and untying the big
SeaRey bird to the buoy.

Today I stuck the old Action Cam on a pole and hoisted it up where I hoped it would catch the baby osprey. Almost got it right. The raw video is only 640x480, and this is zoomed in to show only about 1/3 of that frame size--so it's lo-res, but clearer than nothing at all. It's on YouTube: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoaeiBQ4vJo&feature=youtu.be">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoaeiBQ4vJo&feature=youtu.be</a>

Great video Don. Your term "fastidious" to describe that event is discriminating! Now you need to plan on obtaining video as she teaches him/her how to fly.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

The baby osprey is growing larger and will soon be flying. Here's a video of it today, higher-res than the previous one. Not exciting--but baby is still fastidious. <a href="http://youtu.be/-bposax9xWw">http://youtu.be/-bposax9xWw</a>
