Sorry that I din't see you Monday, Wayne. My house is away from the runway. I have lived here for eight years. Fellow resident Chuck Truthan built a SeaRey several years ago, but has not flown it for the last three. Jan Zysko is building a kit from 2007.A DAR is coming Friday to inspect my LSX. Hopefully I'll be able to fly with you in a couple of months. Meanwhile, let me know if you plan to visit again and I'll arrange a meeting with the group.Leeward's 6200' X 150' runway provides a lot of room, especially for test flying. Unfortunately the lack of rain during the first six months of this year has allowed it to become rutted and bumpy. The owner's association rolls it from time-to-time, but the ground has to be wet and soft to benefit. Tropical storm Debby provided an opportunity although I have yet to feel much improvement in our Cessna.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML.     Over 6000'! How many touch &amp; go's is that? I'd love <br />to have a rough runway like that up North

Great to hear your ready for the DAR, Bruce! I always dreamed about living in an aviation community as nice as Leeward! My comment on the runway condition was because it was unusual for Leeward...I have landed in the past and it was in PERFECT condition....even in less than perfect condition it far surpasses most grass strips that I have visited. Hope to see you in the future. If you want to splash in SW Fla. give me a call....about 150 NM due south.
