the radio lit up with
questions about current
VIZ at the airport. Tower
reported clear...planes
from the south and west
were experiencing thick
fog! Controllers couldn't
understand why because
there was a wide gap in
dew point...sneaky sea
fog...

    No, Wayne, I go out of my way to avoid running into Sea Fog. It's cold and damp in there! But, yes, it can be anywhere there is cold water and warm moist air to flow over it. Only in the southern hemisphere it flows backwards or clockwise depending on your perspective!
