Hello everyone!

Paraplegic, Weight Shift Pilot, Jim Carlacinni is flying his Airborne Trike from Florida to Casa Grande, Arizona to attend the Copper State Fly-In, from October 26 - 29, then on to Palm Springs, California for the AOPA EXPO from November 9-11. Jim has no sensation in his lower body and still has the courage and vision to attempt such a demanding trip. Jim's trip is a fund raiser for the Sunshine Foundation that provides last wishes for seriously and terminally ill children, from their Florida, fairytale village.

Because the flying community has such big hearts and are so supportive of one another, we are hoping that pilots living along or near our route will come out and encourage Jim, as well as provide some crucial ground support. I will be flying an A-22 FPNA Valor, support plane to carry the wheelchair and other equipment, necessary for Jim to complete his day to day medical needs.

Our little caravan will leave Florida on October 12 and fly short hops through the Florida Panhandle, lower Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana, before turning northward through central Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.

It is our hope that folks will form up and fly a leg with us, as we travel near your area and communicate with us to help us with 91 octane automotive fuel, transportation to and from hotels near the airports and some friendly company along our route.

How great it would be to have 10 or more planes form up, in different cities, along our route and accompany us as Jim makes aviation history. Jim's spirit of adventure, is a large part of what makes America strong and personally, I use his example in my sermons, at the church I pastor. Mission aviators are in short supply and Jim gives so many people hope when he ignores his disability and takes to the sky.

Anyone wishing to participate can contact us at www.FPNA.com, or call 863-655-3770. We truly look forward to meeting some of you along the way and making lifelong friends at our many stops.

Rev. Dr. John Long
johnl@FPNA.com

Hi All,

What makes this Cross America Flight so fascinating is Jim's outlook. Though every action is three times as hard, he embraces life with energy and gusto. His spirit and drive to succeed would do well for an NFL defensive line coach. He doesn't know that he's disabled. he only knows he has to try harder. I can celebrate that spirit.

He wants to Live Everyday Until he Dies

How can you argue with that?

God be with you all and if you can, join us on our flight.

Peace be the Journey.
