Help needed...
I am going to move to the Charleston, S.C. area very soon and would like to bring my plane with me. Unfortunately hangar space is not availabe for the next 3 years. I am thinking about maybe buying a house on lake Marnier @ Moncks Corner - Has anybody ever flown in this area? - How about docking a plane at home? - How expensive is it to build a 'on the water' hanger? - Any suggestions for planning???
Anything would be highly appreciated. thanks..

Marcus - I can't help you with answers to your questions, but I do Reserve duty at Charleston AFB every month and plan to fly up there once I'm in the air. (sooooon!)
If you want good advice for flying in the area, you can talk to the aero club on the commercial side of the airport - just drive around the flightline on the perimeter road and look for the C-172 on a pedistal. They are good with advice and teachers. I'll be there for the week of Aug 19-27 if you are in the area - give me a call: 813-416-7744 cell. -Ken

Marcus,
GGE, Georgetown is about an hour north of CHS, and has the Intracoastal Waterway between the two and lots of rivers in and around Georgetown. My understanding is there are hangars currently available for $150 monthly here and lots of good flying all around. Contact me if I can help. Also Stingray # 6 is currently for sale on my website for interested parties. www.carolinaus.com John Matthews
