This isn't directly seaplane related but it is on Lake Dora. Barbara and I are in Mt Dora, FL to pick up an old...er...er...classic aluminum boat I bought off of Ebay. We ate at The Gobblin's Garden last night and it was some of the best grub I've had in a long time. You Florida boys might already know about this place but, if not, I highly recommend it when you want to impress your sweetie. Pricey but really good atmosphere, great food and great service. Appearently folks drive for some distance to eat there.
Mt Dora was a surprise, too. Pretty neat down town area for walking around. The lake looks seaplane friendly also with some places to beach a Searey. There are a bunch of decent looking resturants within walking distance of the lake.

AH! Dennis you happened upon one of our last Florida native secrets!
Mt. Dora is a haven for local Seareys, you were within a mile of Bob Toerners
secret enclave, The Canadian hang-out, of The Lynds, And the Grand-Daddy
of all Hangers the TAJ.
Rats and double rats!! I'm leaving this morning. I had a feeling we were in friendly territory and Barbara swore she heard a Searey yesterday morning while I was replacing the wheel bearings in the trailer. We are headed out this morning to Macon, on the way back to Mooresville. Interesting, Bob called me last week saying he would be in Mooresville this week, while I'm in his home town. At any rate, Barbara likes Mt. Dora so maybe we will be back sometime.
