. The dreary winter view into the 2020 distance shows a splash-in on August 15, when it WILL be sunny and warm.
That's the best weekend day for noonish high tide this year. (Fresh water down past Jamestown Island, about 30 miles east of here.)
Carol and I hope you can come!
A full invitation, with photos and maps and all sorts of other info is at: https://amphibflyer.com/

POSTPONED TO 20 AUGUST 2021.
Carol and I have been hoping the SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 epidemic would subside enough that our August 15 splash-in would be sufficiently safe. Alas, it apparently won't.
So we're going to follow the examples of the big guys--Sun-n-Fun, Oshkosh, Greenville, Triple Tree, and the others that have cancelled their events this year.
The 2020 splash-in is postponed until August 20, 2021.
In case we get a vaccine early this fall--or a miracle--we might try for a last-minute splash-in on October 24, 2020. Our weather is usually quite nice then.
There's no sense in lamenting the ineptness of the U.S. government, but if you're curious, here's the most recent of many no-progress reports that have convinced us to cancel. See the link, "No Progress Report." (We're also in the 30% mortality age group, so that's part of it, too.)
Hope does spring eternal, though:
2021 Fly-Ins and Splash-Ins
Apr 13-18. . . . . Sun 'n Fun Jul 26-Aug 1. . . OSH Aug 20 . . . . . . ours - the Taj Mahouse Sep 9-12. . . . . Greenville Sep 18-19. . . . .Hammondsport Sep 23-26. . . . .Triple Tree
In the meantime, please stay safe and help keep everyone healthy.

P.S. A recent study of masks says a person not wearing a mask can spread droplets up to 8 feet. (Chart: "MaskMaterials" ) The full study report is at Mask Materials Source.
(Aerosols travel with the wind. Keep your eye on the sock.)
