I am a new Searey owner and I am planning on flying my plane to Ohio this weekend from Florida. Hopefully, Kevin D'Angelo and I
will tandem our birds to the North. I would like to know if there are any points of interest that any members can recommend that we
should try to not miss on our trip from FL-SC-NC-VA-WVA-Western PA.

Anderson SC (KAND) is a good but quite field with a friendly FBO with a crew car. Nearby Lake Hartwell is very nice but the Corpse of
Engineers don't like seaplanes.

In SC there's a marina with car gas and a restaurant (assuming it's open again) at Dutchman Creek on Lake Wateree. You taxi up the ramp and stop at the pumps. Info is on this site.

There are several Seareyers on your route.

KGAS in Gallipolis Ohio ("gal uh pa LEESE" is between an interesting hill and the river and may still have a restaurant with walking distance.

And of course there's Lost Nation Airport in Willoughby, where I had my first airplane ride. (Not a recommendation, just a factoid)

Well- I had the weather chasing me for the past day. I ended up flying from X04 to KCRW in about 9 hours. I spent the night there
and then flew home today. It was more of a mission than a adventure. Thanks for the ideas. I will try them out sooner or later. I am
based at KCGF which is only a stone's throw from Lost Nation. The only water there is Lake Erie. I will try it out in the coming days.

Good job staying ahead of the weather. I passed on going to SnF Thursday to leave for MD ahead of the weather. Maybe next year
I'll get to SnF for my first time. Enjoy your Searey adventures!
