Ulrich Hasche has a fine article in the March/April 2015 issue of Water Flying about his Searey trip from Maine back to Florida, via Indiana and Alabama. (His trip the other direction was in the July/August 2014 issue.)

What I love most about this trip and Michael Smith's trip from Melbourne to London--and most other Searey and seaplane trips--is that they take their time and enjoy the going. Cross-country seaplane flying is not inherently about arriving at point B. It's about what's in between A and B.
