Interesting landing on the (salt) water instead of the Cedar Key Airport, although you missed riding in the Scary Halloween white Cab to the town. Very nice shot Chuck

JB

    Chuck
That picture is hard to take for the first day of winter, the saving grace is that the day's start getting longer.

Cheers Fred

Fred, pretend that it is snow instead of sugar sand.

It was a beautiful spot to 'alight' upon. Gathered a small crowd too. Such a beautiful beach and right next to all the restraunts - I figured the locals were used to seaplanes beaching there. Wrong again!

Bruce - I dropped the gear well out in the deep water, just in case - and glad I did too. Lots of hull scraping shells just off the sand and in the water.

Fred - no mountains in the background - but this time of year I'll take it!

Frank - just do some 'wild life survey' flights down the intercoastal ....

I think I just saw a pig fly by... Frank, that means you're considering putting UpThang in salt water! Yes, lead the wave! I've got one salt water landing under my belt and want more. Too much good stuff down there to be afraid of a little sodium.

You're right Frank. Streaker has a foot of snow on her right now. I haven't flown in about a month now. We're heading to TN for a 5 day break to ring in the new year and such. I hope to be bringing some venison back to New England with me.

Have a good visit to X61 Charlie. Eat some gator!

Bret The water here is fine still soft and wet no sign of ice except when Frank put an ice cube on his line to do some ice fishing. I may have to stay longer. I am setup right on the X 61 about 300ft from and looking at the runway
