Description:
John had to swing a bit south to avoid hitting Lynn on the dock....thus the variance in t/o posn. He soon caught up and we headed north up The Long Reach, then west towards Trenton Air Force base.
A 3 plane formation low pass down the runway at YTR was approved....' not below 200' '....HA!
A bit of nostalgia for John, as his dad had been the CO there many years before and John had lived on the base. Turtle formation continued westward to Port Coburg where, unfortunately, the waves precluded a landing, but a couple of low passes were made, to say 'Hello' to John's uncle waiting on the beach.
John and Doug continued NW bound and VMU returned to Picton. A great couple of days flying, with a great couple of gents.
