Description: Work...work...work!!
Westopped for lunch down by the water. Carol was concerned about Don's tooth ache and decided that she would take the train back to her sister in Sarnia On. while the guys went flying....maybe....and did all those ' manly ' things. Lynn drove her to the station in Belleville...I drove Don to the dentist. John sulked!!
Later that evening, Don flew Dave K to Picton airport...I followed in VMU and Dave took Don for a flight in the Storch. We formated around till it got dark and I scooted home for a dusk landing. Don arrived back at Turtle Cove with Dave and proceeded to carry out a glassy water almost night landing. MOST IMPRESSIVE !! I had to give him vectors back to the ramp using my hand-held down at the dock. We had a very later rib dinner , and the wine flowed.

Flying Dave King's Storch was great fun. (I'll post a few pics shortly.) The night water landing wasn't really night, as we could see the water about half a mile out from shore, but the hard part was finding Dave's place with the sky still lit up from behind by the twilight. The escarpment and trees looked completely black, and there was water on the windscreen, too. Forunately, Dave King had a pretty good idea of which way to go, and Dave Edwards vectored us on the radio. That didn't keep me from half-missing the ramp or from taxiing into the woods when the left tailwheel cable got hung up, but eventually--with plenty of help from Edwards and Dunlop--we got it going straight up the hill.
