You got to be there to experience Dave and Lynn's hospitality. Dave King and Don spent hours trying to troubleshoot my starting problems. Dave even loaned me his work shorts so that I would look the part! What a nice group of friends!
Sprague Clutch. First start of the day has become increaingly difficult but once I get it started, it is OK. I am waiting for one of our builders here to mount his engine so I can borrow the shiiping box. In the mean time it is fingers crossed.

To put an end to Carby Flange problems (shaking off etc) the Rotax Airmix box (pre carby manifold) is great insurance and the engine seems to run much smoother also. With the Airmix box you can add x 2 supports to a rubber mount on the Airbox which holds the 2 carbys firmly in place.

Rob, a similar effect occurs when the gearbox needs shimming. The engine will fire, but can't get up to normal idling speed. It goes sort of 'chuck-a-chuck-a-chuck-a' while it's trying to speed up, and eventually, with enough wear, it can't get past that point at all. (Frankly, I'd like to have a word with the Rotax engineers who left out the ball- or roller-bearing that would prevent that problem.)
