That looks like the old World Trade Center location. Big void.

I remember back in the early 70's when I worked with IBM in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Went to NYC for 3 weeks at the World Trade Ctr. Being impresed with the massive size of that structure. So hard to believe that so much and so many lifes can be gone is such a short time.

Back, way back, before the WTC was built, I did this flight in a Cessna 120 (circa 1959). This was before Class B's, before TCA's, even before the C-120 had a working radio. The VFR flight with no prior permission, no ATC, and prefectly legal and safe was spectacular. Circled around NYC without the constraints of corridors; altitiude and direction pilot's discretion. Do you suspect we've lost some freedoms even before 9/11?
