Description: One of the plaesures of attending Garner's Fly-in is meeting all the great folks that we only know online. I hung out with Ken Leonard for a good chunk of the day. What a great guy. Here Jon Ladd gives Ken AKA 'All Smiles' a ride to hold him over while he finishes building. I remember getting my 'shot in the arm ride' at Garner's many years ago. It really helps keep the building juices following. Jon was also the guy that gave me that ride. Thanks Jon! And thanks for letting me stay a night at your house.

Bret, You and Ken have been two of my most appreciative copilots over the years. I think a Searey ride is just what every builder needs to get'r done. You are always welcome to bunk with us. What a great trip home, I guess I missed you at X61 on your way back.

Look Bret, even with 2 guys in the plane the waterline is still higher than with just you !<br />

Vic, don't you worry, you'll be buying me lunch before you know it. But you should probably eat something before because after a SeaRey ride you'll be smiling so big you won;t be able to chew your food

I gotta tell ya, that ride was a hoot! Jon taught me about short stops, 'almost' max effort stops and the joys of sliding sideways. He also showed me a good example of 'let's stop for a look-see' when something doesn't sound just right. Beach maintenance 101. It was all good. I will be eternally indebted to Jon. My confidence about my small lake landings soared, as did we.
