Description: 'Cutting the corner' through the Carolina's instead of flying the Outer Banks. My one regret on this trip is that I didn't just stay on the coast. The Outer Banks would have been beautiful. I could have visited Kitty Hawk and the first flight memorial. No offense to those that live here but this part of the country is pretty flat and boring at least from the air...

I shutter to think what middle Tennessee is going to be like... I've gotten spoiled by all this coastal flying in New England.

The highlight of this leg was watching an tilt-rotar Osprey pass just off my nose. It wasn't more than a couple thousand feet away and at my altitude. I scrambled for my camera but missed the shot...

...stay tuned, more to come.

Flat and boring? Don't you fret one minute, Mr. Bret. There's plenty of hills and SeaRey sized streams in middle Tennessee.
