Description: Hey gang, this is as close to a flying action shot as I can get! BUT - I am back working on the plane after 6 weeks delay for moving and unpacking. I can taste the first flight! Or was that just poly spray getting past my mask?

Ken, at least the over spray from your plane looks like it matches your car.

At least the car now has UV protection.

Steve, I think his toes are gray too. This is the only time socks are cool to wear with sandals

Yeah Frank and did you see the hammer lying there, that must be to flatten out those large Floridian bugs that land on your fresh paint ......or maybe to put the lid on the paint can, but with Searey people you never know.

Ken: seeing this makes me wonder if I over did it when I constructed the 30x12 paint booth, complete with filtered exhaust and fresh air breathing system - just to touch up my plane.

Ken--glad to see you're making SeaRey progress again. But your cars would stay shinier if you were using a HVLP sprayer. Home Depot sells inexpensive ones that work just fine.

    Don M - that's what I thought I was using?
Frank N - I'm 30 years (ok, 20 years) too young to wear sox with my sandles
Steve G - The hammer is to be installed behind the head per Frank Gracy as a gear reminder.

Maybe so, Ken. That orangey hose looked like high pressure to me, but there must be some kind of pressure reduction gizmo on your gun. My Home Depot model has a turbine and a hose about 1.25' in diameter from there to the gun.

Ken, Do you wear the dark sunglasses when you inspect the plane/paint job too?

Kenneth Leonard - May 01,2006 Viewers | Reply
Eric - you're supposed to inspect!?!? Shoot, I better start building another plane...

Ken, I think it was almost a year ago last month that I was doing the same thing you are doing right now, I was flying mine by August, so keep it up, you'll be flying it before you know it. Best regards, Steve.
