Description: Well, it's not a resort but it IS my landing strip. This is the view over the main channel, at the mouth of my cove at 400 feet. My pier is the last one with the boat on the left. My ramp is just before the last pier in the back of the cove. Kind of a tight landing but I'm getting more comfortable with buzzing the trees and landing toward the main channel. I just couldn't resist posting my own sites from Lake Norman, NC.

Dennis, are you going to be there next week? I may fly from Richmond to Hendersonville and if so will pass almost directly overhead.

Come on over. Right now I'm working from home every day except Wednesday, but that changes from day to day. Let me know what day you are coming over and I'll try to schedule myself here. You can beach at the end of the cove. The ramp is barely large enough for my plane. Do you need lat longs?

Hey Dennis...let's trade places. Right now, I'm looking out at the cove and the 5' waves...driving rain and all the autumn folige has been blown away. Have you got room enough for the Ontario contingent??<br />Is Barbara as good a cook as I think she is? Would 3 pm Saturday suit?

Sorry Dave. Barbara is a great cook (we just had sole stuffed with scallops and crab meet for dinner) and she lets me spend all our spare change on airplanes (she still says I can buy a Steen Skybolt kit) and, in general, is an angel. But, alas, the house is 1200 square feet and all three bed rooms are full. It's paid for, though. And it was cold down here today, too. A high of 73 degrees...brrrrrr.

Lat &amp; long would help, Dennis. 14A is easy to locate, but I can't figure out which cove you're in. My step-mother's 90th BD is Tuesday, so I'm watching the weather...

OK. They are in my GPS in the plane. I'll send them to you tomorrow.

Aha! Right on the line where GoogleEarth switches from hi-res to medium. Thanks, Jeff!

Just go a mile west from 14A to the main channel. Turn south and fly about 5 minutes. Look for a long slender island on the west side with two rows of houses on it. My cove is a little south east, across the channel. There is a larger cove next to mine to the south. The best land mark in my cove is the white house that is on the left of this photo. I try to land over the trees to give me room to go around. During the week, this time of year, you can also land in the main channel. Just taxi to the end of the cove, thread between the last two piers to the neighbors beach. They are never at home. Let me know when.

Okay, Dennis. I'll email or phone and let you know whether I can make the trip by SeaRey. The SeaRey Locator has your numbers. (Thanks again, John D!)

Step-mother, Dave. She could be as young as... uh, well, I don't know--<I>some</I>body.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->
