Description: 1973 Citabria 7KCAB.
I learned sportsman category aerobatics in this great ol bird. Yankin and Bankin is almost as fun as Landing on Water. She made me a better pilot though. I have a commercial and instrument rating, and had never spun an aircraft before the citabria. She had a Lycoming I/O 320 and could run inverted for about 45 sec before the oil pressure would drop. Favorite maneuver: avalange (snap roll at the top of a loop)

That is the way a picture of an aerobatic airplane should look, Jim! Nice.

Thx Dan, that means a lot comin from you. A magazine photographer in a Cessna 182 took the photo for an article on people with exciting hobbies.

My 1999 8KCAB Super Decathlon has a Lycoming AEIO360 and fully inverted fuel and oil systems. She was delivered new in October of 99 to KTAN and now has 690 hr on her today, more then likely the first and only new plane I will ever have but she is the best for what ever you would like to do excluding water landings. Attachments:

Shes a beaute. I flew a decathalon once. The symetrical airfoil and higher neg g capability made it a much better aeorbatic airplane than my Citabria. I miss aerobatics sometimes, but forget all about it when I am operating on H2O.

Jim >>> ( Thanks) My first choice is still the decathlon, but I am getting a better feeling about the SeaRey I just have to fly it more then I do.
