Description:
The Benjamin Harrison Bridge (a lift bridge) over the James, southeast of Richmond, around 7:30 PM. We sort of wanted to get back before nightfall because the runway is being repaved, the lights are OTS, a NOTAM says the airport is closed at night, and right now there's a 3100' displaced threshold on the 5500' runway.

I confess to using a clever camera trick, Dan. It can take up to five stills a second, so I just held the button down and flew across the sun line, hoping that one frame would get the light centered. That was after doing a 360 when I didn't get the camera out in time on the first attempt. But by the second pass, the sun had slipped halfway behind a cloud, and ten seconds later it was gone entirely.

Nice trick, Don. I'd have to put my Casio in what they now call YouTube movie mode and select a frame. Nice pic!
