Description: This photo appears in the September 2007 issue of the Smithsonian's AIR & SPACE magazine (pages 54-59). See some of the article, '20 Hours to Solo,' at http://www.airspacemag.com/issues/2007/september/20_hours_to
_solo.php

Then look for the magazine. Better yet, join the Smithsonian and get 6 issues a year.

The SeaRey appears to belong to Dan McKenzie. (The registration is easier to read in the print version.)

Yeah, that's nice, Don, but the Smithsonian obviously thinks that the signature SeaRey is flown by Professor Maxwell. (See link to image.)      Attachments:

Thanks, Dan--but your link is to the museum's “Become a Pilot Family Day and Aviation Display,” this past June. My link is to the magazine, where McKenzie's SeaRey gets top billing.

The article is about the new Sport Pilot certificate and Light Sport airplanes. There are 10 photos. It begins with a two-page spread, divided into four parts. The SeaRey photo occupies the top half of the right-hand page, with text below it. The title is top left, with another photo below it. So the SeaRey has the power position. The caption is: 'Sport pilots who choose to build the SeaRey kitplane (opposite) can take off from and set down on both land and water.'
