It is now just another part of the lore of your adventure, Peter. I'm pleased to know you picked her right up and flew on!

The damage was very minor, about half an inch grinded. If you wouldnt know it you wouldnt recognise the little damage at all. As mentioned, it was my best landing ever. With a forklift we lifted the plane, thern lowered the gear and taxied back to the ramp. After 20 min the rwy was cleared. I and th plane were lucky and flew on.

Congrats guys... Welcome to the 'hinnie grinders' club... When I pulled that stunt during the Gaggle in Canada a couple years ago I had my 12 year old son with me.. We skidded off of the runway and onto the grass... as we came to a sliding halt he exclaimed 'THAT WAS SOOOOOO COOOOLLLLL'.. My response was a little more 'colorful *%$###@###!!!?? dontchaknow... Mutch to my chagrin I found out that he videotaped all of it!!! He said I cant wait to show that to MOM!!! Somehow the video got mysteriously erased... Imagine that. !!! PS: I have a really good fibreglass guy in Orlando if you need one.. Double check your hull for cracks.. I had a few.

Bob, I recently flew out to visit my friend Gino, the same guy who owns the airport and drove you around in Leamington. As it turns out, I landed with a flat main gear and came to an instant stop on the runway. Gino hustled out from the office and helped me carry BSE off the strip. We pulled off the wheel and headed into town for repairs. In the car, he turned to me and said, 'What's with SeaReys in Leamington? They always seem to have a hard time here!'

Welcome to the club, Peter. Now you get to experience that sphincter tightening sensation just before touch down like the rest of us.

The hull was later fixed by professionals and checked for cracks. No problem. Lucky. During that landing we have filmed until stand still. One wouldn't recognised that it was a gear up landing so smooth was that landing

Welcome to the club. Be pleased your admission ticket was so reasonable. I also landed grass and to be honest it was my focus on the exactly perfect landing that made me forget the gear. I now add to my decent checklist Some have paid a much higher price landing gear down in water. And we just keep finding out why man invented machines to do repetitive tasks. I escaped with more damage to my ego than the little 8 inch grass stain. Bob T. I was there and missed that one? Was it after me and my grandson left?
