Description: My contract clearly stated that I would not be constrained by straight lines for the trans-continental ferry flight. In fact, I pretty much planned to spend the first day just splashing Lake Mead. Lake Mead is the largest man-made reservoir, backing up the Colorado River by some 110 miles from Hoover Dam. I figured that would be big enough to fill a day for a SeaRey.

Is Mead really larger than Lake Powell?

I wouldn't have thought so, Frank, but the g'vment brochure says so. You believe in g'vment, don't you?

I'd believe you before the g'vment; (Oh wait, is that a compliment?)

Be careful there, Frank, you wouldn't want the g'vment get wind of that. Besides, I only know what the Bureau of Relamation (what a name!) says, and it says Lake Mead holds 28,500,000 acre feet of water and Lake Powell holds 27,000,000 acre feet.
