Description: After Lake Mohave and Bullhead City slid behind the airplane, the river settled right down into the broad Mohave valley. It was just so mundane after the spectacular canyons. For some reason the hot blast blowing into the cockpit seemed only to get more intense.

ARRRGGGH! I just couldn’t stand it. I quickly altered my plan and decided to cross the cooler high plains rather than the lower hotter desert. What good is a turbocharged engine if it doesn’t work for you? I made a sharp left for Sitgreaves Pass to cross the Warm Springs Wilderness Area.

Thanks for taking the colorful photos of the clear, alligator free waters of my Nevada Seareay playground. You flew by good place to get a seaplane rating (in the cooler winter) at Sheble Aviation with their seaplanes flying from Laughlin,NV/Bullhead City, AZ (across the river from each other). They are also based at Kingman, AZ. The ASES rating is done in one day on the Colorado River, Lake Mojave and Lake Havasu. See weblink for details.      Attachments:

It is a splendid place for SeaReys, John. Are you flying south for the winter this year?
