Wish I had known you were there Eric. My son...grandson and I were there for this spectacular event. It took quite a while for this group of 20 to form up...but well worth the wait. The Lancaster from our Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum put on a nice display as well.

Eric,

A magnificent display, indeed!

For perhaps the last time in our lifetime, one was able to walk perhaps 1/2 mile between tails of P-51's and taste the freedom we enjoy thanks to the '51 and other aircraft and ground forces who, supported enthusiastically by the citizens of the U.S., doggedly brought Hitler and his ilk to their just rewards.

And now, a question: there were two Bell aircraft P-xx there as well. Some say one was a P-39, the other a P-63. Which one was which? One had an airscoop atop the fuselage and a rounded vertical fin, while the other had a squared off fin and a belly airscoop.
