Description: Back in the Air. Yesterday Dan Nickens flew me to Sebring to pick up my Searey.now with a rebuilt 912s. This is an older picture of it sitting on a sand bar near Punta Gorda Fl. It was great to be back in the air. Florida Searey guys please note FREE EMERGENCY GAS. If you are running low on gas and you are near Lake Dora, Be advised that I keep 10 to 20 gallons of 93 octane in the boathouse. So help yourself..... better safe than sorry. I am the only one on Lake Dora with a windsock.. Im on the north side of the lake , half way between Mt Dora and Tavares. (and O'Keefes.)

Glad you made it back with the weather. I was going to call you today to see if you got your bird back.

Bob, would I love to be down there?! Haven't been up since November, and won't until spring some time now. Cold and white, but the days are getting longer now. Enjoy, you dog!<br />

Dennis, have you ever thought of putting ski's on the bird? you could still land anywhere, youv'e got liquid cooling so you can install a little heater, and never complain again.

No Case, I haven't. With this plane I seem to feel more at home on a beach than on a snow bank.

Great to hear you're back in the seat. I just flew across those sandbars yesterday as I flew from Sarasota to Ft Myers... but it was too windy to try landing. I leave Sunday heading up the Gulf coast to Crystal River or Cedar Key before heading back to Jackonsonville.
