Hard core, John. What was the OAT?

12Fº, but the cockpit was a cozy 70ºF with heater at full afterburner! I wore my gloves when holding the camera out in the slipstream!

Even a thin blooded Floridian would be tempted to venture out into such unhuman temperatures for a sight like that, John.

John, were all your engine temp.'s in the normal operating ranges? Your running an oil thermostat aren't you? Great shot ...what was your 'N' again?? Oh, never mind I see it : )

No thermostats, coolant or oil, but I am still looking for an inline coolant thermostat. My theory is that if the engine is around 180ºF then the oil will be within limits. The OAT was 12ºF and cruising around at 4800rpm the oil was 145 and the cylinder heads were 150

John, how did it respond at 13,000? Close to stall? Any prop adjustments? You have a 914 Rotax?

With the turbo the Rotax 914 thinks it is at sea level and gets full power (115hp) to 8000 feet and climb power (100hp) to 16,000 feet.
