Description:
The next day we all went to a shape-note sing in London, Ontario, and in the parking lot outside I saw this license plate--which I took as a sign that all was well with the world.

So, what does 'PBY' stand for anyway. Of course I know what a PBY is, but what do the letters mean? This is an educational web site, right?

That's right. Unfortunately, the car was driven by the widow of the pilot. She said he'd been in the British navy and had trained in PBYs at Pensacola. He died two years ago of what we like to call natural causes.
