Description:
With electrical gremlins supposedly chased away, Tim and I flew back to New Jersey to get his SeaRey.
Bottle rockets and crashing ultralights were all part of the show for the test flight of the newly repaired SeaRey. Some kids next door were practicing rocketry. Police cruisers were called when the SeaRey took off with popping sounds and smoke nearby. We managed to slip away without anyone knowing any different.
Unfortunately the gremlins proved to be stubborn. The test flight went great, complete with rockets and police cars, and the mechanic went home. We hurriedly launched and we treated to a fully stuck trim.
“That’s okay, Tim. You can fly.”
We stopped for the night in Millville, New Jersey before Tim’s arm strength gave out. The next day it was no better, but at least he was rested. We flew on to Crisfield, Maryland (W31).
Crisfield had a welcoming grass strip. It was a bit bumpy, but with an untrimmed airplane, any grass looked good.
“We’ve been told this is the best grass strip in Maryland,” the proud owners told us. Makes me wonder about the other fields.

Chrisfield is nice, but arguably, Kentmoor (3W3, further up the Eastern Shore across from Annapolis) has a shorter walk to the best spiced steamed crabs and cold beer in the World.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or > missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

I knew a cub pilot who set up a bungee cord to the stick as a trim device on a long cross country.
