Bret's looking pretty trim these days. His new life must be good for him.

Thanks Don, you're my mentor. School's ramping up this week so the playing is over for awhile but yes, the new life suits me and the family just fine. Its been a great few years making the transition and building a new home, career, and reconnecting with family and friends.

Hey, Bret, get this: Our elder son Chris is following in <I>your </I>footsteps. A few months ago he chucked his computer job at the NIH, and he starts his first year as a math-science teacher (ages 9-12) at a DC-area Montessori school in a couple of weeks.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML.     Dang!!! God help him!!!... I mean, good FOR him On the good days I'd tell you that I would glady pay to do this. On the bad days, I wish to hell I could at LEAST say I do it for the money... either way, every year leaves you with a wealth of intense memories and there is always two or three kids that turn around on you and just simply make your year.

I know what you mean about the pay, Bret. But maybe it's best to leave money out of what we do for love.
