Description: Just outside of Nashville is the Bristol NASCAR track. It offered a great emergency landing opportunity as long as you can turn left fast.

I know Bristol and that ain't no Bristol... but there is a realitivly new superspeedway outside of Nashville. Bristol is a short track and looks more like a triple-deck football stadium. It is NE of Knoxville in the Tri-cities area. Dan, you are usually so good at this landmark crap... where did you get Bristol from

This track is just outside of Bristol, Tennessee, Bret. I'm sure you are right about THE Bristol track, as I'm no fan of NASCAR tracks...unless the engine quits right over one!

Hey Bret, you are faster than me to catch the real instead of the fall story....

Local sources confirm that I was way off base on this one, Bret. This is the Nashville Super Speedway between Smyrna and Lebanon, just east of Nashville. I have no explanation for my calling it Bristol except maybe it is the only race track I've never heard of in Tennessee?

I thought so... nowhere near Bristol the track or Bristol the town. I flew over them both 2 years ago while coming out of the south end of the Shannondoah valley and it didn't sound like you where in that part of TN based on other posts. Sounds like you had a real redneck adventure. Any guy that jumpstarts/handprops/removes props/removes part of props/and then hauls his plane home in parts on a flatbed is a budding NASCAR fan... you already got the RV! I'll meet you at Bristol next year.

Oh, yeah! Just because you moved outta state last time to avoid a butt-kicking, Bret, doesn't mean you kan hide forever. It's still on.

I'll bet those Zulu's would work great at a Bristol race!!
