Description: The shore was definitely rugged, but not without the occasional beach to break things up. The beach is the ocean’s crown in its battle against the land. The sand grains are the bodies of countless rock soldiers ground up the sea’s relentless assault. They lie peacefully in lines along the shore while the battle continues out on the projecting promontories and headlands (“points” and “heads”).
