Description: In late August tropical storm Fay dumped 22” of water on the St. Johns River basin. The shallow, gradually sloping valley of the river (dropping an average of 1’ every 10 miles) doesn’t shed water easily. Many areas are still above flood stage more than a month later.

Seaplanes and boats are restricted from river operations. It is probably just prudent to avoid landing in the murky, dark water full of seaplane snatching debris.
