Hey Mike, is that a sport cruiser? Did you have a chance to get a good look at it, and if so what did you think of it?

Amazing, and no seaplanes on this lake! I'm curious if one's insurance, for say a C172, allows you to land on a frozen--or actually, what looked like a frozen-- lake?

It was a sport cruiser, I didn;t look it over very well but of friend of mine was flying it and he liked it. He also owns a 172 and a Helicopter. The airplane is for rent at Alpha One Flight(<a href="http://www.alpha-1.com/">http://www.alpha-1.com/</a> in plymouth (PYM) MA.I think it is 85/hr. I don't know about all insurance policies but the one i have on my Cub with Avemco allows for off airport landings. Alton Bay in NH is actually a State Airport when it is frozen.(<a href="http://www.unionstreethosting.com/~usmedia/downloads/alton_cam.html">http://www.unionstreethosting.com/~usmedia/downloads/alton_c<br>am.html</a>

I know for most airplane rentals, it's a huge no-no (ask my older brother, hee hee. He rented a C150 many years ago and landed on a frozen lake. Someone on shore recognized the plane and reported him, and he was confronted by the FBO manager when he returned. He was not allowed to rent there for a couple months afterwords, or something like that).

We sent phone pics to the owner of the FBO who is also a good friend. Haven't heard how he took it yet.
