John,<br />It never ceases to amaze me--and perhaps others--of the colors and sharpness (not to mention, the subjects) of your photos. I'm wondering if (besides your equipment and eye of course) if your altitude is a main factor in the clarity. Or, perhaps, the lack of polutants out west. Or, both. Or what?

Altitude helps in that less atmosphere getting in the way helps to enhance clarity. Of course, if the forest service would mulch the forest slash rather than burn it, that would help too. This was taken the same flight.
