Description:
Especially for you northeners, this is what the City of Palms Park looked like this morning upon departing Page Field, Ft. Myers. The Boston Red Sox and some fans, are gathering in anticipation of this afternoon's game which will be played with clear, V > 6, Temp mid-to upper 70's.
The Red Sox are planning to depart this facility in the next 1-2 years, relocating to a yet to be determined park that mimics Fenway here in Lee County. If the rumors pan out, the Orioles will assume this stadium, so along with the Twins here and the Rays up the road in Charlotte County we'll have 4 Major League teams in the area for spring training. For the summer, the stadiums are the home park to Minor League affiliates. So besides fishing, boating, beaches, and fine dining we have lots of distractions here that tend to delay the completion of 'Experimentals' (yea, another excuse).
