This is an alaskan fix. Yes, duct tape! Gotta love the canned spray paint on the tail too. Notice the rifle - he's gonna go find that bruin.

Some of the field repairs done in Alaska (enough to get them home) are unbelievable. I saw a video of a Supercub with a broken wing spar (after a bad landing in the boonies). The right wing was bent up 90 degrees just outboard of the strut attachment. Mechanic flew in, bent the wing back down, did some kind of temporary repair, taped up the ripped fabric, and tied a length of rope from the broken section down to the strut/fuselage attach point, to hold the wing down. They flew it home that way. The N number was fuzzed out throughout the video.
