Sorry I don't have time (leaving for the airport) to write a narrative but hopefully Dave and Dennis can fill in for me till I get back next Sunday..

Fly when you can, John! (Are you going to keep the hangar door from freezing shut this year?)

Question ??? does this picture display the typical attitude of the Searey while

in cruise mode ???? Anybody

The Horizontal stab looks even with the horizon

Dennis Vogan - Oct 18,2009 Viewers | Reply
Yeah. Takes a bit of getting used to. I used to want to climb all the time then I just got use to this 'helicopter' attitude!

Dennis, you might have been nosing down just slightly at the instant the photo was taken. But the boom tube is close to horizontal, which is how it's supposed to be for W&B weighing.

Like all seaplanes, the boat part flies nose down during cruise and level during landing (higher angle of attack for the wings).

Daniel Paul Myers - Oct 18,2009 Viewers | Reply
Yes Terry...SeaReys fly with a little nose down attitude (not to get technical) this photo looks like it may be a little too nose down for level flight,I may be wrong though

I am jealous...and this weekend was warmer you guys.
What about our trio! GJIB needs group therapy.

Terry, Dennis changed the angle of the engine, I think this might contribute to the nose low attitude a bit....he's always cheating to gain more performance....and it's working!

Dennis Vogan - Oct 19,2009 Viewers | Reply
    Naw, that won't change this.

Great photo! Is the trim set full down?

One thing that I noticed through all of these pictures, is that paint color/scheme REALLY is visible. I like it!

Dennis Vogan - Oct 20,2009 Viewers | Reply
Thanks! No sneaking up on anybody with those colors.

BSE is certainly photogenic. It was a great flight to the ultimate 'hosted' destination and back. We'll have to grab more birds next time Dave and Dennis!
