I think this was the highest I have ever been in my Searey.
Ended up at abouot 6,400msl.

I was getting dizzy.

Low and slow can be fun, but way up there is a whole different world. This was at 9500 ft heading back from Bruno's to home. Attachments:

Where were you headed? How long did it take to get that high?

Tony Gugliuzza - Nov 26,2009 Viewers | Reply
It was a 125 mile trip.
With the haze and heading into the sun I wouldn't see squat until I climbed above it all.
I could see down low, but it wasn't enjoyable.

It didn't take long to get there probably around 20 minutes cruising well below full power.

    20 mins for 125 miles= 375mph. VERY IMPRESSIVE INDEED.
Heheh,
Yes, and NOT at full power either....

Of course I mean 20 minutes to get from 1,000 feet msl to 6,400 feet msl.

Tony had one of the new 'SeaRey Afterburner Options' that has just recently been released by Progressive Aerodyne. Top speed of Mac 1 are now fully achieveable for all SeaReys and can be readily retrofitted.

haha I said to myself 'surely Jim knew what he meant'. Man, that would be cool though, a 375mph searey....

Really, I think a 375 mph Searey would be boring. Just Toooooooooooo fast and unable to appreciate THE FUN. That's why I bought a SR, I was bored with just going somewhere fast.

Same here...for the fast rides, I would prefer a Vans Rv-10. Now those are nice
