Description: The way to a salty spring is up river. Potassium, magnesium and sodium give the water a slightly salty quality. One theory for the mineralized water is that it comes from mixing of salty water deep within the Floridan aquifer and shallower fresh water zones. It pours forth at a brisk 52 million gallons of water per day.
