    Here's a murphy rebel that isn't going anywhere (for sale for a few years now). Also a bunch of planes aimed skyward, but going nowhere. Paul (#1 son) testing for low wing snow clearance (about the same for the sponsons)      Attachments:

    Eric, it looks like you got more snow than we did. Firmer, too, judging by Paul's position.<br /><br />It would be interesting to watch those airplanes tilt up and down. Do they do it graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadually, or do they all of a sudden go whomp?

    There were a number of Jet aircraft at Dulles in the hangers that collapsed from snow load. They were standing on their tails also. Citations and larger. Ouch.

    Don, Unless the snow comes down with sudden 'whump!' I would guess they slowly tilt back. Of course wind gusts could come into play too. Here's another cool pic. Heli nose down going up, cessna nose up going nowhere.      Attachments:
