NTSB thinks it was a stall. Looks like it from the video. The previous video on the same website gives a quick glimpse into the cockpit. Doesn't appear to have an altimeter or VSI. While I notice a couple of design compromises I would prefer not to make it actually looks quite interesting, especially the blended wing style.<br /><br />Certainly looks like a stall in, just lucky he was already so low. As a 'Mature' low time guy I don't think early water flights of a new plane are the place for a 30 hour pilot, especially one of so many years. That's scary.
