Description:
After lunch, we fairly quickly got my plane unstuck. Then we jumped in our planes, fired up, and as we headed for the water, we got really stuck. That turned into a 2 hour ordeal.

Oo! I wish we had known you got stuck the second time, Jeff. We were only a few miles away--would have driven in and... watched. Did you try raising the gear and sliding across the mud? I slid out once when the mud was wet like that, but the gear was already up. Sliding doesn't work on sand, though.

We thought about that but the beach was littered with razor sharp shells that looked like giant barnacles. Think they would have made mince meat of the hull. I was embarrased to fly with Jeff after this as his plane looked like it went through the Baha. Lucky we found some strong backed kids to help us out. The worse part was, as we moved it along the tide was going out and the sand was getting softer and the wheels sinking deeper. If Jeff hadn't found some long pieces of plywood to put th ewheels on,he would have had to wait for high tide- probably about midnight to get it out.
